Canadian singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes has announced a partnership with Red Cross to raise funds for people in need after last week's earthquake in Mexico.

The Treat You Better hitmaker, who was due to perform in Mexico City the day after the earthquake hit, has donated $100k to start the fundraiser, and commented 'After seeing the impact of the damage firsthand in Mexico, I wanted to find any way I could to help raise funds. So we reached out to the Red Cross and partnered with them to set up a way to help those affected by the earthquake'.
